Privacy Policy
Our Data Protection and Privacy Policy We collect data from our website for the purposes of providing YOU with a competitive insurance quote, when you ask us to. The only data collected is what YOU choose to input into our forms and send to us, either by e-mail, fax, post or hand delivery. The Information Commissioner's Office in the UK regards much of what you supply as not being in the "sensitive personal data" class. However, you should be aware that some data that we ask YOU to supply, DOES come under the classification of sensitive personal data, for example, details of medical conditions or criminal records of employees. YOUR data protection policy should allow YOU to provide this information as a legitimate business requirement. The data that you provide is send to a selection of standard industry underwriters for the purposes of them providing you with a quote. Each of our underwriters has their own privacy policy, and you should contact them directly if you require further information. In ALL cases, we will take due care to ensure that any data supplied to us remains confidential, with the allowance that we DO need to submit the details to our underwriters for the purposes of obtaining a quote. If we win your business, we will retain all the relevant details required to service your insurance. We may retain your contact details so that we can contact you in future regarding your business insurance needs. Cookies and IP logging We do not use cookies on this site. IP addresses ARE logged when a form is submitted. This is purely to allow us to block robots. Robots are computer programs "roaming" the net looking for forms to fill in and send, typically with "spam", and false e-mail addresses. As far as our systems are concerned, this is a legitimate request, so these will be sent to us, with a "courtesy copy" to "YOUR" e-mail address (if that is what is supplied by the robot). Although YOU are unlikely to receive one of these e-mails, businesses that provide this sort of form are having to wage a constant battle to prevent this happening, but while still allowing YOU to send us a legitimate request. So logging "nuisance" IP addresses means that we can attempt to block these robots when necessary. Boggles the mind, doesn't it? Who we are
